Well. I think it’s safe to say that, from my perspective, 2019 didn’t end exactly as planned. Between a minor emergency operation in October, and a surprise eye problem in December, I’ve taken a bit of a kicking health-wise. Needless to say, I got pretty left behind with my university work. As a result, I’ve made the decision to step back from my studies for the next few months to get better. This is definitely the right move for me, but it’s still a little daunting – but it is going to allow me to re-collect myself and hit the projects that I want to do next year at full capacity (next year’s cohort had better watch out!).
Anyway, I guess that goes some way to explain why I haven’t posted a blog since September – sorry! I think you can tell that I’ve been otherwise occupied.
So, here we are – 2020; the start of a new year, and a new decade. I’ve not set myself any strict new year’s resolutions, other than finding myself a job (in this economy?). I do have a couple of goals towards bettering myself – writing more, being kinder to myself and exploring the world.
